Your feedback is important to us. Thank you for taking the time

Welcome to Action Laser.  We are pleased that local results have stimulated your inquiry about our methodology and technology.  Since 1986 Action Laser has been helping the public to quit smoking.  Action laser and its associates were able to blend the newest technology of low level laser therapy (LLLT) and the ancient methods of auricular trigger points to achieve better and consistent results.

Auricular therapy methods were recognized by the World Health Organization through the work of Dr. Nogier (France), Dr. Bahr (Germany) and Dr. Terry Olson (USA) and many other clinicians who submitted their studies in the early 1990’s.

Philosophy of the Treatment:

Our methodology is a combination of laser treatment and psychological support.  In the simplest terms the treatment breaks the physiological addiction to nicotine and using a subtle detox to rid the body of nicotine.  In the process of this method the client usually does not experience the typical withdrawal symptoms and cravings that are associated with addiction.

The Action Laser method gives the client the upper hand on managing the habit.  What clients say is that “this treatment made it easier for me to control my need for a cigarette”.  This process changes the need and want of a cigarette to just a thought that passes quickly.  We are the kind of support that for 20 years has been making a difference.

Professional Staff

Our clinicians are both Provincially and Nationally registered healthcare practitioners who have received additional hours of training on the laser technology and supervised clinical contact with clients.  We use a questionnaire that is filled out by the client and clinician together, allowing the clinician to determine the level of commitment.  Commitment to quit is needed on the part of the client no matter what method they choose.  We also use a standard medical questionnaire that allows us to be aware of medical conditions that may have some contradictions to the use of light therapy.  We have strict policies concerning these restrictions.

Time Commitment and Cost of Treatment

The Quit Smoking (Smoking Cessation) treatment consists of:

  1. Initial treatment of 45 minutes to one hour depending on the needs of the client.
  2. Two follow-up booster sessions in the first 60 days.

Success Defined

Our success rate of 80% is determined by the following criteria.

  1. After 60 days we call the client and if they have achieved their goal we consider that a success for our methodology.
  2. After 60 days and the client has failed to achieve their goal we offer a follow-up treatment.  This is a “no” in our calculation.  If the clients achieve their goal at a later date we will include them in the new numbers.

Additional Support

The full treatment includes different aspects to support the different needs of clients such as binge eating or anxiety.  We have found in 50% of the clients that significant control had been achieved from the initial treatment where some clients need to use the follow-up boosters to maintain the process.  The follow-up boosters are included in the initial cost as mentioned above.

We look forward to helping you quit smoking.  If you have any questions please feel free to call us at 709-738-8808.
